Welcome, dear friends in Christ.

I’m Grizelda, and this little corner of the internet is where faith, heritage, and dreams meet. As I step into my forties, I find myself more reflective than ever, looking back with gratitude at the path God has led me on, and looking forward with hope to the journeys still ahead.

Life, as I see it, is not just about chasing experiences but about seeking God in every season, whether in the quiet routines of daily life, in the laughter of family, or in the adventures that pull us beyond our comfort zones. My faith as a Catholic is at the heart of everything I do; it anchors me when life feels uncertain and lights the way when new beginnings call.

Heritage and Roots

I carry within me the heritage of my grandparents, Portuguese blood that still calls across oceans, reminding me of traditions, language, and a faith passed down through generations. I’ve begun learning European Portuguese, not just as a skill but as a way of honoring where I come from. It’s a thread that ties me to my ancestors and, God willing, to a future life in Portugal where old stone churches, cobblestone streets, and vibrant traditions feel both foreign and familiar.

Dreams and Travel

Travel, for me, isn’t only about seeing new places, it’s about encountering God’s beauty in creation and in the people He places along my path. I dream of walking pilgrim roads, visiting shrines, and discovering the faith woven into the cultures of Europe. Portugal, especially, draws me with its history, cuisine, and deep Catholic traditions, from the Marian apparitions of Fatima to the small village chapels that still echo with centuries of prayer.

Everyday Life

Here at home, I share life with Leon, my partner of many years. We’ve built a small business together, facing challenges and victories side by side. In between, I find joy in creating, writing, and learning whether through coding, publishing children’s books, or exploring new crafts.

Why This Blog?

This blog is my way of reaching out to women (and men too) who are navigating life’s turning points, those moments when you ask, “Is this all there is?” My answer is: no, God always has more. More grace, more beauty, more meaning. Here, I hope to share stories of faith, travel, heritage, and growth woven with honesty, gratitude, and a touch of wanderlust.

So, whether you come here seeking encouragement, inspiration, or simply a reminder that faith and dreams can live side by side, welcome. May this space bring you joy, hope, and perhaps a spark of your own God-given adventure.

With faith and wanderlust,
Grizelda
